A community for LGBTQIA+ students
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive experience for LGBTQIA+ students. The 彩虹层 (located in Karlgaard塔 South and in 橡树岭 Hall) offer LGBTQIA+ students an opportunity to live and learn together.
The 彩虹楼 provided a sense of community and a greater sense of home. I was able to create lasting friendships and connections with like-minded people who challenged me and accepted me for who I am. The 彩虹楼 guided me to be me and to follow my heart.
The 彩虹层 offer intentionally designed on-campus inclusive living for the LGBTQIA+ community. Students can choose roommates regardless of assigned sex, 性别表达或性别认同, 或者性取向. This means that students can live in the same room with a person of a different assigned sex, 性别认同, 或者性取向. This community is an option for incoming and current 澳门葡京网赌送彩金 students and is located on Towers South 7th 和8th floors as well as the first floor of 橡树岭 Hall. 的套房 is also now home to an inclusive living pod available to returning students.
Once you have indicated the 彩虹层 as your housing preference, you will have the option to choose which 彩虹楼 you’d like to join:
- 彩虹楼-TGNC (Trans + 性别 Non-Conforming) is for students who identify as trans and/or gender diverse and seek to live amongst and develop a safe, inclusive community with students of similar experience.
- 彩虹楼-LGBTQIA+ General Floor is for the full spectrum of LGBTQIA+ students and allies who seek a safe, inclusive and community-driven experience.

The 彩虹层 offer intersectional queer programming and community building. Students participating in the 彩虹地板有限公司 enjoy community movie nights, 晚餐, and consistent engagement with the 性别 & 性资源中心’s numerous events and programs.

Karlgaard塔 are often the first choice for incoming students living on campus. 新装修, each of the two 10-floor towers offers plenty of communal social and study spaces, all-gender restrooms on each floor, and updated facilities on the lower level (kitchen, 健身房, 休息室, 实践的房间, 等.). 在彩虹地板上, students enjoy accessible all-gender single- and multi-stall restrooms and showers. 对于那些想要更多隐私的人, 一个访问, private all-gender restroom and shower are also available on each floor.

The newest Rainbow community for incoming students is a smaller pod located in 橡树岭 Hall. With a dedicated 休息室 space and a smaller size wing, this community provides a close-knit feel in a traditional hall setting.

Engaging in intersectional queer histories and narratives is a critical step in understanding one’s own identities, and the 彩虹楼 LLC offers students the opportunity to both live and learn together throughout the semester.

I enjoyed living on the 彩虹楼 because it was a friendly, queer-focused space that was very accessible, 舒适实用. I would recommend this LLC for folx wanting to find friends that are also queer.

专业技巧! 如果你在室友小组里, make sure your roommate(s) indicate the same LLC preferences on their housing application. Otherwise, you will not be placed in the LLC.
生活 in the Karlgaard塔 as a resident of the 彩虹楼 has been a highlight of my housing and residence life experience here at UW-Eau克莱尔. I have made lifelong friendships. Building such a strong support is important for student success, and I can say with 99% certainty that I wouldn't be as successful as I am today without all the love and support I garnered from my time on the floor. Spending time in the floor 休息室, working on homework or playing games with friends are probably some of my fondest memories from my first two years here.
